1 year with Josh and a trip to Washington D.C.

Beautiful Flowers from Josh. He had them delivered to work! Made my day!

Josh and I went on a mini vacation this weekend. We started on Friday and drove to Richmond to see his mom. I forgot my camera in the car for that leg of the trip. Saturday was our one year anniversary of dating. We were looking for something fun to do to celebrate.  When Jon Stewart and Steven Colbert announced that they were doing their Rally to Restore Sanity and or Keep Fear Alive in D.C. on our anniversary, we made plans to go. We are really big fans. The event exceeded my expectations. I couldn't get too many good pictures and we watched most of it on jumbo tron but it was a lot of fun and I am glad that we got to go!

They played Daily Show & Report clips before the rally started.

Tons of signs. Some serious, a lot really funny and not so serious

lots and lots of people everywhere!

This was the best picture of the stage I got. It's on the left of this guy's head.

Me at the rally. I like this picture because my nose ring never really shows up in pictures.

John Legend and the Roots opened

Even after the Rally, this was as close as we got to the stage.

After the rally we walked back to our awesome hotel The Mandrian Oriental. It was way fancy. I loved it!
Some great mirror photography!

Dream bathroom. Huge mirror!

Beautiful shower with marble subway tile and glass surround. I would need a maid to keep the glass that clean!

Awesome bathrobes

I liked getting ready with the 3 mirrors!

Josh and I before going to dinner at the Melting Pot.
A men's wear store in Dupont Circle

White House at night. Couldn't make out what was hanging down in the middle of the portico.

This was the best thing I saw the whole weekend. The White House driveway was lined with pumpkins.

Nation's Capitol at night. We sat on the ledge and talked for a while. There wasn't anyone else there.

The rally stage being taken down late at night and the Washington Memorial in the background.

We came back from dinner and the maid had turned down the bed and laid out our robes. This place was beyond fancy. I wanted to stay forever!

"City view" The little people on the street are running the Marine Marathon.

More marathoners running in the lower left. The roads to get on the highway to go home were blocked.  I was so glad that Josh was driving. It took forever to get on the right highway so we could get home.

Great weekend with the guy that I am so in love with and lucky to be with. Back to work and school this week. Above is the anniversary gift I made Josh. I will post how I made it later this week! Have a fun week!
